    ABOUT

You won’t always like what I say.
    But you’ll never forget it.

A CEO said: “I finally have everything I’ve worked for, so why do I feel so flatlined?”

It wasn't the first time I had heard it, and it won’t be the last.

Over the years, I interviewed CEOs across fourteen countries while researching for The Happy CEO. Those conversations eventually became thousands of hours of coaching, workshops, keynotes, and private discussions with leaders from very different industries, cultures, and backgrounds.

    Different people, similar conversations.

I’ve always been curious about people.

Why two people can experience the same situation and leave with completely different stories.

Why someone can appear successful while questioning everything, and someone else can have very little and feel deeply alive.

The more conversations I had, the more obvious it became.

    People never describe the problem.
    They describe the symptom.

I stopped listening only to what people were saying and started paying far more attention to what they weren't saying, and I learned that conversations happen on two levels. Most people only hear one of them.

People often ask me how I know which question to ask.

    The truth is, I don't.
    At least not in advance.

I notice something that doesn't fit, and that opens up the next question. I let the conversation play out based on the person across from me.

Eventually, the symptom disappears and the hidden truth appears.

After thousands of conversations with leaders around the world, the patterns became impossible to ignore.

That curiosity is the foundation of everything I do.

The leaders who feel the most alive have all figured out, knowingly or not, that happiness is not the reward for success; it is the strategy for it.

That became the philosophy behind The Happy CEO.

Today I work with founders, CEOs, and executive teams around the world.

I don’t have all the answers, and I doubt I ever will.

I have spent decades noticing patterns that are remarkably easy to miss when you're living inside them.

The Happy CEO wasn't built to impress you. It was built to wake you up.

You're not nearly as far away from the life you want as you think you are.

Most of the time, you simply can't see it yet.
